Pill Rear Bag — Multi-Height

Description

Most rear bags give you one height and ask you to live with it. The Pill gives you two: laid on its side it compresses to about an inch and a half and squeezes up to four — stand it upright and it starts around four and runs to six. Same bag, two jobs, no digging through the pack for a second one.

Pick the shell for where it lives. Light waxed canvas is supple — it conforms and grips, the match shell. Heavy waxed canvas takes field abuse. 1000D Cordura is the hose-it-off workhorse. Whichever you run, the bag settles instead of skating, so the height you dial is the height that holds.

Squeeze to elevation, ease off to settle.
