Description
A plate is flat on purpose. Drop it on a tripod head or a barricade and it stays put — no rolling, no hunting for the sweet spot, no resetting the bag every time you change position. On a stage where the clock runs while you fumble, that is most of the value.
The second thing it does is quieter: weight up front settles the rifle. A little mass on the fore-end takes the edge off recoil and keeps the sight picture from jumping, which matters most on the light rifles that hop hardest.
Pair it with the Stock-Mounted Tripod Rear Bag and you have the whole tripod setup: on in seconds, level in seconds.
