There’s only one way to shoot a tripod stage: the bag way. You could clamp the rifle to the head — we’d never recommend it. The bag is faster on and off, nothing gets bolted to your rifle or your tripod, and the same bags keep working everywhere else you shoot.
The setup — on in seconds, level in seconds
Install the Stock-Mounted Tripod Rear Bag on the buttstock and a Plate Bag on the fore-end. The rear bag levels the rifle almost immediately off the tripod-leg angle — then fine-tune by squeezing the bottom of the bag to move fill toward or away from the top until the sight picture sits level.
